Refund Policy

Last updated: May 11, 2026

1. Automatic Refunds for Failed Registrations

If our automated system fails to register your domain through EthioTelecom's portal, the full purchase amount is automatically refunded to your wallet balance. No action is required from you. You will receive an email notification when a refund is processed.

2. Successful Registrations

Once a domain is successfully registered with EthioTelecom, the registration is non-refundable. This is because the registration fee has been paid to EthioTelecom on your behalf and cannot be reversed. The domain will remain active for the full registration period (1 year).

3. Failed Renewals

If a domain renewal fails after your wallet has been charged, the renewal fee is automatically refunded to your wallet balance. You may attempt the renewal again or contact support for assistance.

4. Wallet Deposits

  • Cryptocurrency deposits that have been confirmed and credited to your wallet are non-refundable.
  • Wallet balances cannot be withdrawn as fiat or cryptocurrency — they can only be used for domain purchases on the platform.
  • If you believe a deposit was credited incorrectly, contact support within 7 days.

5. Refund Method

All refunds are issued as wallet credits (USD balance on your ET Domains account). We do not issue refunds to external cryptocurrency wallets, bank accounts, or other payment methods. Your wallet credit can be used immediately for any domain purchase on the platform.

6. Processing Time

Automatic refunds for failed registrations and renewals are processed instantly. If you do not see the refund reflected in your wallet balance within 5 minutes, please contact support.

7. Disputes

If you believe you are entitled to a refund that was not automatically issued, or if you have questions about a charge, please contact us at support@etdomains.tech with your order ID and a description of the issue. We will investigate and respond within 48 hours.
